The Stillwater Multi-Use Trail is located in the Town of Stillwater. The main trailhead is located off Campbell Road within the Village of Stillwater. The trail proceeds southward principally along sidewalks through and then out of the village and terminates at its intersection with an active railroad corridor, approximately 0.75 mile south of where this trail crosses Halfway House Road.
The information provided on this page focusses only on the southbound portion of this trail that begins at the trail access located just south of the Village of Stillwater off Railroad Avenue, near its intersection with Towpath Road. A parking lot is available at this location.
View the trail map. The trail is located along a portion of a railway corridor previously owned and operated by a series of railroad companies, including and ultimately by the Saratoga and Schuylerville Railroad. This corridor was abandoned in 1957.
